"Movement is life. Life is a process. Improve the quality of the process and you improve the quality of life itself"  Moshe Feldenkrais.

Mara Neimanis is a guild certified Feldenkrais practitioner and comes from 20 years of teaching and training in a variety of modalities that focus on bringing the body back to the center of creative exchange. In 2006 she started her aerial theater company, In-Flight Theater in Baltimore. She received her Feldenkrais certification in 2010, her Personal Training certification with National Council of Strength and Fitness in 2017, and Yoga teacher certification in 2016 with Yoga on The Beach in Key West Florida.

Mara has worked extensively applying The Feldenkrais Method® to Circus and Graduate Theater Training programs in the U.S. and abroad. In 2016 she started a private Feldenkrais practice in the Florida Keys. She recently moved to Western NY to be closer to family and to promote Feldenkrais in the area.

Mara teaches Awareness Through Movement® group classes at Rising Sun Yoga and at Soma Cura.

She is excited to have space at The Fountain to offer private one-on-one sessions for people-- and their canine companions. (Mara is one of the few Feldenkrais practitioners who works with dogs!)

As an artist, Mara has taught and toured internationally with her unique brand of aerial performance. She uses suspended steel sculptures to integrate circus arts with acting in order to create stories and characters that explore the rich interplay of imagination between ground and air.
